Conducting 指揮

Wong specializes particularly in contemporary repertoire as a conductor. Having studied under Mr. Vicky Shin and Mr. Angus Lee, he served as the Assistant Conductor of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble for the 2022–23 season, conducting numerous public performances of Hong Kong works. These include the world premiere and all six performances of Since When, co-created by Joyce Tang and Chow Yiu-fai at Tai Kwun, the closing performance of the outdoor multimedia interactive presentation A Date with Dogs, a brass trio recital  Lost Dreams, The 2023–24 Artist-in-Residence Program Concert at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and multiple reading sessions and workshops. During his university years, he served as a conductor for both the Chung Chi Student Chinese Orchestra and the Chung Chi College Student Orchestra. Since graduating, he has remained dedicated to mentoring and assisting student conductors.

黃氏於指揮方面尤其擅長現代曲目，曾請益於冼宏基先生及李一葦先生。2022 至 23 年度擔任香港創樂團助理指揮，曾指揮多場香港作品的公開演出，如鄧慧中和周耀輝共同創作的《從什麼時候開始》在大館的六場公演（包括首演）、戶外多媒體互動展演《遇於犬丘》閉幕演出、《夢鄉樂泊》銅管三重奏音樂會、多場作品試奏會，以及2023-24年度香港中文大學的駐校樂團計畫音樂會。並曾於大學時於崇基學生中樂團及崇基學生管弦樂團擔任指揮，畢業後致力協助其他學生指揮。
